VICTORIA COLLEGE RESOLUTION
CONGRATULATIONS TO MR GOTTWALD (P.A.) WELLINGTON. March 18. By a majority vote, the executive committee of the Victoria University College Students’ Association passed a resolution “congratulating Mr Gottwald on the triumph of oemocracy in Czechoslovakia.” A number of members of the association have demanded a special meeting of the student body, which will be held next Monday, when a vote of no confidence will be moved in the executive.
Dissentient voters on the executive committee said they were conflthe motion congratulating Mr Gottwald directly contradicted the reelings of an overwhelming majority of students at the college.
