AUCKLAND, March 18. commenting this evening on the action of the victoria University College Students’ Association executive in deciding to “congratulate Mr Gottwald on the triumph of democracy in Czechoslovakia,” Mr J. A. Nathan, president of the Auckland University h;2 llege Students’ Association, said: The Auckland association’s executive is not jn the habit of expressing its opinion on political developments in countries several thousands of miles from New Zealand. While the actions • e . Vlctoria .executive are its own affair, m my opinion the vast majority of members of the Auckland association would wish to be dissociated the implication that they share the apparent elation of the Victoria executive on the accession to power 6 Communist-dominated Government m Czechoslovakia.”
