MR KEN BALLANTYNE
SATISFACTORY PROGRESS YESTERDAY ’ A persistent rumour in Christchurch yesterday afternoon, and even early yesterday morning, was that Mr Ken Ballantyne had died as a result of shock. Mr R. H. Ballantyne said that his cousin had suffered shock and minor burns to his hands, but that he was making a satisfactory recovery. He was seen by an eye specialist yesterday, and had been treated for the effects of dust, smoke, and heat.
