TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS RELAXED
TASMAN AIR SERVICE PRIORITIES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 30. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr W. E. Parry) said to-day that, because of the resumption of a regular passenger service between Australia and New Zealand by the Wahine, a further relaxation of the restrictions on travel between the two countries was possible. As from October 1 priorities will no longer be granted for travel on the trans-Tasman air service, he said, but priority reservations which had already been made would stand.
Mr Parry indicated that intending travellers would be well advised to make their booking for departure and return as far ahead as possible. Persons intending to leave New Zealand should note that, although priorities had been abolished, exit permits were still required.
