COMPETITIONS SOCIETY
LOSS OF £22 DURING YEAR
A statement of accounts presented at the annual meeting of the Christchurch Competitions Society showed that during the year here had been a loss of £22. Door receipts, it was stated, were £BB5 compared with £llll in the previous year, because of the shorter sessions of two weeks. The president reported that for next year it had been agreed to revert to the usual three-week sessions. Officers were elected as follows:—president, Mr R. F. Hunter; vice-president, Mr D. G. Dickson; treasurer, Mr C. S. Thompson; auditor, Messrs E. R. Caygill and Company; executive, Messrs A. L. Wilkinson, E. L. Cordery, G. H. W. Gale, S. C. Mooar, K. W. Staples, J. B. Williams, C. D. Henderson, S. C. Andrews, C. J. Goode, E. J. Johnson, J. J. Staples, and J. F. Thomson.
