FOUR SMALL FIRES

Calls to four small fires were answered by the Christchurch Fire Brigade during the week-end. The only chimney fire occurred on Saturday morning in a house at 7 Rosebery street occupied by W. A. Grey. Slight damage to the wall and ceiling of a detached washhouse at 26 Richmond terrace. New Brighton, was caused by a fire on Saturday morning. The oc- . currier was Margaret Bartlett. The brigade pftit out a fire on Saturday afternoon in a shed on a property at 112 Wordsworth street, occupied by James Dolan. Slight damage only was caused. A small fire in an electric oven in a house at 8 Ferriman avenue. Bromley, yesterday morning was caused when fat caught alight. The house was occupied by J. G. Wright.
