i Taxpayer is to be congratulated on his excellent letter about establishing unnecessary factories in New Zealand, which use up most of the available labour and electricity while our all-important land, vneat, dairy, and woollen industries languish. Moving cotton mills from Christchurch to Timaru is about as useful as starting more cosmetic factories. We must concentrate on getting labour to do the necessary work first.—Yours, etc., o x H.M.B.
