BUILDING BY-LAWS

Sir,—City Council building requirements differ from the Sumner Borough Council’s. My section is 20 perches. The man who bought the adjoining 20 has just been refused a permit to build his home on it as it could not have the required distance from my house. The Christchurch Council could help old and young by beautifying the towns and doing away with high, hideous, corrugated iron fences. —Yours, etc., F. PRATT. Sumner. September' 24, 1947.
