RUGBY FOOTBALL
WEST COAST’S VISIT GAME WITH CANTERBURY TO -MORROW The match between Canterbury and West Coast Rugby football teams which will be played at Lancaster Park tomorrow promises to be a bright display. A lively exhibition can be expected from the visiting forwards, who play a robust game. Enthusiasts will be keen to see the West Coast full-back, J. Lindbom, as he was considered unlucky in some circles to have had to give way to J. W. Kelly (Canterbury) in the South Island team. Several changes have been made in the Canterbury team which played against Southland last Saturday. Kelly, who played on the wing, now comes in at fullback in place of T. Jackson, and McHugh goes in as right wing-three-quar-ters. D. Jones replaces P. V. Kearney at second five-eighths. F. G. Hobbs, the 1947 All Black vice-captain, who did not play last Saturday, will take his place at the side of the scrum. The teams will be:— Canterbury.—Backs: J. W. Kelly; W. McHugh, C. V. Rowlands, A.
