Sir, —-While one commends the idea of a sdciety dealing with home life problems, its good intentions will be built on sand, until the root of our main social evil is removed, namely, divorce. Let the good people of our land and the good politicians get together with determination of purpose and abolish the divorce law. New Zealand has led the world in examples before. Let her do it again. Heaven’s blessing on the good law makers who have it in their poiver to do this. The law of divorce is one of the most evil, laws man has made. It leaves divided homes and leaves countless children with a frustration of mind which is not their heritage of happiness. When a census was taken in America among divorced couples, 90 per cent, wished their first spouse back.—Yours etc., NIB. July 28, 1947.
