WIN FOR MISS H. BUCHANAN ” The Press ” Special Service DUNEDIN, March 16. The annual tournament for the Dunedin women’s golf championships was completed on Saturday. The finals of the four main events were decided. Results were: Dunedin Women’s Championship.—Miss H. Buchanan (Christchurch) beat Mrs Salisbury (Queen’s Park), 3 up and 2. Dunedin Women’s Junior Championship. —Mrs J. Greenall (Timaru) beat Mrs George (Gore), 3 and 2. Senior Consolation Handicap.—Miss K. Shand (Otago) beat Mrs D. Robinson (St. Clair), 1 up. Junior Consolation Handicap.—Mrs Hain (Gore) beat Mrs A. Watt (St. Clair), 3 and 2. AVONDALE LADIES’ CLUB Results of a bogey handicap match played by the Avondale Ladies’ Golf Club on Saturday were:— A Grade.—Mrs A. L. Large (13), all square; Miss G. Bellamy (11), 1 down; Miss A. I. Maindonald (12), 2 down; Mrs D. A. Gunn (14), 4 down. B Grade.—Miss F. McDonald (25), 1 up; Miss M. Wall (21), 1 down; Mrs H. R. Blair (22), 1 down; Miss S. Britton (25), 1 down; Miss E. Lawrence (21), 2 down. WAITIKIRI LADIES’ CLUB A Ladies’ Golf Union match played by the Waitikiri Ladies’ Golf Club yesterday resulted in a win for Miss Lillian Harper, with a score of 104, 35—69. Miss Harper reduced her handicap by six strokes. Election of Officers Officers elected at the annual meeting of the Waitikiri Ladies’ Golf Club were as follows:—captain. Mrs A. R. Blank; secretary, Miss A. Bailey; committee, Mesdames K. .G. Syminton and D. Pool and Misses L. Harper and J. Tench. HAGLEY LADIES’ CLUB A flag match played by the members of the Hagley Ladies' Golf Club was won by Miss E Atkinson (senior) and Mrs A. Donaldson (junior) RUSSLEY LADIES* CLUB Opening day on March 13 attracted a good attendance at the RussW Ladies’ Club. In the Stableford bogey the best scores in the senior division were:—Miss C. Wood (13), 28: Mrs H. A. Penn (9), 27. Juniors: Mrs G. P. Anderson (26), 39; Mrs A. A. Mitchell (22), 33. Prizes were presented by Miss Gates. WAITIKIRI OPEN TOURNAMENT. MARCH 22nd and 23rd.
