WESTERN SAMOAN OFFICIALS

VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND NEXT MONTH (P.A.) WELLINGTON. January 16. A party of four of the Faipule, members o£ the Advisory Council of Western Samoa, accompanied by an interpreter, will visit New Zealand nexl month as guests of the Government, said the Prime Minister (Mr F. Fraser) to-day. The four Faipule whom their colleagues have chopen are all relatively young men, and while the interpreter can assist them on formal occasions, they have a working knowledge of English. Two are chiefs and two have the rank of orator. The party will stay in New Zealand for about three weeks, and will arrive at Auckland on February 18. The party will visit Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin. New Plymouth. Waitomo, and Rotorua. The party consists of Messrs To’Omatua Tua, Te’O Simaile, Tuilago Fetu, and Ale Malu, and the interpreter, Matatumua A.
