MUFTI ALLOWANCE

Sir, —In a letter published to-day your correspondent R. S. Haworth states that correspondence to me has remained unanswered. Mr Haworth wrote to me on July 4 and 10, my replies going forward on July 9 and 12 respectively, the latter containing an assurance that further information would go forward as soon as I could obtain it. This came to hand on August 30 and was forwarded <m September 4, containirig practically the same information as the Hon. F. Jones supplied to you. I make this statement lest the impression arise that the Returned Services* Association ignores correspondence.—Yours, etc., l. a. McKenzie, ' Secretary. September 20, 1946.
