COURSING AT SOCKBURN

The final of the P. Ruddy Memorial Cup, run at the Sockburn enclosure on Saturday, was won by Mum’s Pal, owned by Mr W. E. Parker (Masterton). The first two rounds were run on Friday, and the third round and semi-finals on Saturday.

Saturday’s results were:—Third Round Pacific Flier beat Harewood Lass, Competitor beat Buster Brown, Mum’s Pal a bye. Semi-final: Mum's Pal beat Pacific Flier, Competitor a bye. Final: Mr W. E. Parker’s (Masterton). Mum’s Pal beat M. A, Peters (Christchurch) Competitor,* Supplementary Stakes.—Semi-final: Johnny beat Straight, Even Terms beat Bronze Eagle. Final: Mrs T. Horwell's (Christchurch), Even Terms beat Mr A. E. Moore’s (Christchurch) Johnny. Maiden Stake.—Semi-final: Imperial Lady beat Wayland Dan, Foxcatcher a bye. Final: Mr W. Kingston’s (Christchurch) Imperial Lady beat Mr N. Forrester’s (Christchurch) Foxcatcher.
