Degree Subjects Rationed.-

rationing of subjects which students will take for arts and science degrees will be enforced by Victoria University College next year to avoid the necessity of excluding students, a position created by the accommodation problem. Restrictions of this nature were imposed by the University authorities in some cases this year, and in others steps were taken to exclude students where there was reason to believe that they had neglected to take advantage of reasonable opportunity to pursue their studies. Before the war there were 1100 students at Victoria University College. Now there are 2200. Temporary huts are being erected at the college to accommodate the overflow of students.— i
