VANDALISM

Sir,—The youth of Christchurch are still running true to form, in their conception of fun. Not ducklings and kittens this time, but the wanton destruction of trees and shrubs, and in Millbrook Reserve the attractive little statue enhancing the beauty of the fern pond. This has been smashed tt> atoms, the* boulder that did the deed lying-on top of it. I agree with the Mayor: let their hides feel, what their brains .(or lack’ of them) cannot.— Yours, ietc., _ OLD PARENT. December 20, 1944.
