PATRIOTIC TROTTING MEETING
FOUR EVENTS AT ASHBURTON A programme of four events, three ol which will carry a stake of £l5O each, and another of £250. has been arranged by the Ashburton Trotting Club for the Ashburton (atriotic trotting meeting, to be held on October 3. All races will be of one mile and a half. The stake money has been given by the Ashburton, New Brighton, and Metropolitan Trotting Clubs and the Ashburton Racing Club. Two of the events will be for maiden, horses, trotters and pacers. The other two events will be for pacers, one for 3mln 34sec class, and one for 3min 38sec class. The
Ashburton Trotting Club, which met yesterday, fixed the entrance fees for the races carrying £l5O sta at £2 10s. and the fee for the £250 race at £3 10s.
