MAGISTRATE’S COURT
MONDAY (Before Mr E, C. Levvey, S.M.) REMANDED Norman Stanley Buchanan, aged. 26 years, labourer, charged with breaking and entering the dwelling-house of Phyllis Louisa Stevens and committing theft, was remanded until September 21. Robert William Harris, alias Jack Madison, aged 26 years, labourer, was charged with stealing the sum of £3, the property of Walter Henry Stroud. He was remanded till September 21. THEFT OF CAMERA Harold Ashton Wood. 27 years, labourer, pleaded guilty to stealing at Hokitika, a, cancers, ,yplped at £24 17s 6d, the property -of-. David, Stevenson, He was convicted'dm" discharged, and the camera was ordered to be returned to the owner. NAMES SUPPRESSED Pleading guilty to two charges of stealing goods to the value of £1 a woman, the suppression of°whose name was ordered by «he Magistrate, was convicted and discharged. For stealing a pair of boots valued at £1 ss"a’ man , was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months. The Magistrate ordered the suppression of the name of the accused.
