OBJECTION BY ALBURY RESIDENTS After hearing a deputation on the proposal of the Mackenzie County Council to plant an area of 12 acres in trees in the Albury township, the council decided that it would take no action this year to plant the trees, and that the question of the planting be held over. The deputation comprised Messrs E. D. O’Sullivan. H. Muir, J. O’Neill, and D. Campbdl. They presented a petition, signed by 40 residents, objecting to the planting Mr C. V. Kirke said that the question was a big one. The land had been purchased for planting and not as a speculation. He thought, however, that the deputation had put forward some good points. In proposing the motion to hold over the planting this year. Mr P. Kidd said he thought those objecting were making a mistake.
