OBSERVERS’ SCHOOL IN CANADA

OTTAWA, August 15,

The New Zealand High Commissioner in Canada (Mr F. Langstone) presided at ceremonies at the No. 4 Air Observers’ School at Crumlin, near London, Ontario, at which the first New Zealanders graduated as navigators under the Commonwealth training plan. The graduates included Sergeant Harry Blinkthorn, who received his wings in New Zealand, but when posted there as an instructor declined and was remustered as a member of an air crew for active service. Mr Langstone urged the navigators to make good use of their knowledge.
