(P.S.S.) WELLINGTON. January 15. An announcement that the question of establishing a course in aeronautics at Canterbury University Colie -* would come before the Senate for consideration was made by the Chancellor oi the University of New Zealand (the Hon, J. A. Hanan) in his annual address to-day. He mentioned also that the services of some university graduates had been enlisted by the Defence Department for technical and scientific work in connexion with the war effort.
