PRISONER ESCAPES FROM PAPARUA

* POLICE SEARCH DURING NIGHT Leo Oswald Buttle, a labourer, aged 39, escaped from the Paparua prison about 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon and was still at large early this morning, He is reported to have been in the neighbourhood of Paparua just after dusk. A police search was made during the night. Buttle was sentenced in the Magistrate’s Court on Monday to two months’ imprisonment on a charge of unlrwfully converting a motor-car to his own use. His description is: Height, about sft 7in, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, medium features.
