BIRTHDAY PARTY AT AKAROA

A pleasant time was spent at the home of Mr and Mrs W. H. Taylor (“Te Whare Maunga,” Akaroa), when a number of the Akaroa High School girls paid a surprise visit to celebrate the birthday of Miss Marjorie Idle.

Games and competitions were enjoyed, and musical items were given by Misses Dorothy Armstrong and Barbara Naismith. . A birthday gift, in the form of a mystery parcel, was presented to the guest of honour on behalf of her fellow pupils. . , _ A birthday cake, the gift of Mrs Taylor, held pride of place on the supper table. ~ , Among those present were Mr and Mrs W.
