REVIEW BY GOVERNMENT

(BaiTIBH OrriCIAL WIBELXSS.) RUGBY, December 23. ' The Minister for Agriculture (Mr W. S. Morrison) announced in the House of Commons that the Government was reviewing the state of agriculture in Britain.

Mr Morrison assured the House that the Government fully recognised (he deep concern felt about some aspects of agriculture. Though bound to take account of other considerations besides those prominentir. the minds of agriculturists, the Government appreciated the urgency and importance of the situation. The review would be continued throughout the Christmas recess, and at an appropriate stage there would be discussions with the farmers’ unions of England and Scotland on schemes prepared by those bodies.
