BRITAIN’S “REARMAMENT REVOLUTION”
STATEMENT IN FRANCE BY SECRETARY FOR WAR

PARIS, December 24,
Mr L. Hore-Belisha (British Secretary for War) told French journalists that Britain had effected “a rearmament revolution.” He recalled Earl Baldwin’s remark that Britain’s frontier was the Rhine, and added that France’s frontier was the Thames.
