DEFENCE PLANS OF CANADA
SLIGHT REDUCTION IN EXPENDITURE DESTROYERS TO BE BOUGHT FROM BRITAIN (Received February 5, 12.30 a.m.) OTTAWA, February 4. The Canadian defence estimates total 34,000,000 dollars, a decrease of 2,000,000 dollars from last year. Two destroyers, costing 2,000,000 dollars, are to be purchased from Britain and stationed on the Pacific coast next summer. Seventy-five aeroplanes are also to be purchased.
