WEDDING

BEVERIDGE—FREW The marriage was celebrated last evening at the Presbyterian Church, Amberley. of Mary Agnes (Molly), only child of Mr and Mrs S. Frew (Amberley)). to Rawiri Tod, younger son of the late Mr and Mrs D. Tod Beveridge. Whangarei. The Rev, R. Taylor performed the ceremony, and Miss Dorothy Chamberlain played the wedding music, Mr Keith Perry sang a solo during the ceremony. The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a frock of ivory lame brocade in petal design, made on princess lines, the skirt forming an oval train. Her veil of tulle, which had been worn by her mother, billowed over the train of her frock. The tulle cap holding the veil in position was trimmed with a trail of orange blossom and a cream tinted orchid, and she carried an arm bouquet of cream and white water-lilies and begonias. Miss Mariorie Frew., cousin of the bride. and Miss Kathleen Davis attended as bridesmaids. Their frocks of floral georgette had shirred bodices, square necklines, and long skirts fully gcuged below the swathed waistlines. Miss Davis wore a bandeau of pink sweet peas and hydrangeas in her hair, and Miss Frew’s head-dress was composed of pink sweet peas. They carried sheaves of gladioli shading from pink to lemon. Mr L. Croft was best man. and Mr Graham McMillan was groomsman. At the reception, held at the Town Hall, the bride's mother received the guests wearing a model frock of black triple ninon boldly patterned with flowers shading from oyster to dove grey. The yoke and full sleeves were appliqued on to black gossamer lace, and her black leghorn straw hat was trimmed in front with a slashed bow of ribbon. She carried shaded red flowers. The bridegroom’s aunt. Mrs J. V. Oxley, wore a floral ninon redingote, a black frock, and a plaited georgette turban. She carried pink roses and abutilons. When Mr and Mrs R. Tod Beveridge left for their wedding tour the bride was wearing a blue tailored suit of English janique suiting, a shellpink hand-embroidered blouse of crepe de chine, and a navy Glengarry hat with a punched motif at the side, and she wore also a silver fox fur. KITCHEN EVENING An enjoyable evening was spent when Mr and Mrs P. Anderson, King street, entertained Miss Minorie Minolh, who is soon to be married to Mr J. Dwan. Musical items wore given by Miss G. Webster, Mr G. O'Connor, Misses T. and G. Rogers, Mr Me!Laughlin, and Miss Trevalla. Community singing was led by Miss P. Cunneen and Mr Reg. Tong. Those present were Mr and Mrs P.
