DEFENCE FORCES OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA
♦ PROGRESS IN FOUR YEARS (Received January 18, 5.5 p.m.) PRAGUE, January 17. General Moravec announces that Czechoslovakia since 1933 has increased her frontier fortifications sixteenfold and has doubled hei number of aeroplanes, adding two air regiments of 135 heavy bombers. The number of tanks has increased twentyfold, bringing the total to 1500, and 60,000 troops have been added, including a regiment of dragoons, four battalions of cyclists, and a battalion of mounted artillery. , The mobility of the army has increased 30 per. cent, and the firing capacity has been doubled.
