♦ HIGH-POWER TRANSMITTERS FOR DAVENTRY (Received January 18, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, January 17. The radio writer of the “Daily Telegraph” says that after the inauguration of the foreign language broadcasts, the British Broadcasting Cornoration ordered two new highpovftr transmitters for Daventry. They will be as powerful as any projected in other countries. The extension will avoid the curtailment of the Empire service.
