CHEAPER ENTRANCE TO RACECOURSES
SYDNEY, December 8. The Premier (Mr B. S. B. Stevens), introducing the Racing and Gaming Bill in the Assembly, said that it involved a nominal loss of £BO,OOO a year in reduced racing taxation. An improvement in horse-racing attendances was expected, however, and the grey-hound-racing tax should yield £25,000 a year.
