SEVERE INJURIES MOTOR-CYCLIST UNCONSCIOUS FOR SEVERAL HOURS Still unconscious early this morninf after being thrown from his motorcycle when he collided with a cai yesterday afternoon, Tom Rolton, t young man living in Hazeldean road is seriously ill in the Christchurch Public Hospital with concussion anc head injuries. The collision occurred at the intersection of Hazeldean road and Selwyr street. Rolton was rushed to the Christchurch Public Hospital in the St. John Ambulance, and there ha: been no improvement in his conditior since his admission. FATAL BURNS WOMAN’S DEATH IN HOSPITAL (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) TE KUITI, December 8. The death occurred last night of Mrs Sarah Emily Parkes, aged 46, wife of Mr P. G. Parkes, from burns and shock, suffered when ner home was burnt down the previous night. She and three daughters, the only occupants of the house, escaped before the fire had a good hold, but later, under the impression that one of the children was inside, Mrs Parkes rushed back and her night attire caught fire The daughters beat out the flames and they went three-quarters of a mile to neighbours from where Mrs Parkes was taken to the To Kuiti Hospital. BOY DIES FROM BURNS HAMILTON, December 8. John Skurr, aged five, of Rotowaro who was severely burnt in a petrol explosion at a filling station at Rotowaro on Monday, died last evening. HEAD INJURIES AND CONCUSSION Ecx Breach, a young man residing in Office road, was admitted to th« Christchurch Public Hospital shortlj before 5 o’clock last evening suffering from head injuries and concussion, received when he was thrown from hi; bicycle. A bag which he was carrying on the handlebars of the bicych caught in the front wheel, causing v to jam, and he was thrown heavilj to the ground. His condition is noi serious.
