SUMMIT ROAD FUND

STREET COLLECTION ON WEDNESDAY To assist m the completion of the work of building “The Sign of the Takahe” and the construction of the Port Hills Summit road, the people of Christchurch will on Wednesday next be given the opportunity of subscribing a little money to show their appreciation of this work. The scheme to make the hills and the bays attractive and readily accessible to the people is one which should need no commendation. Money is urgently required for this work, and it is hoped that the people of Christchurch will be generous on Wednesday next. Those willing to assist in collecting are asked to ring telephone 30-143.
