Th-i suhjert for the debate was: That a man should have the right to end bis own life when he wjshes." Messrs J. Carr and V. McEwin took the afttrmrtive. and Messrs A. Blackfourn and E. Turnbull the negative. Tb*» ehaisman briefly criticised the leaden? tpeecbes, and gave his verllict in favour of the negative side by §3 points to 92 points. One new member was elected. ,
