ARCIIfeOLD CUP CONTEST
The official activities of the Taylor’s Mistake Surf Club for this season were closed yesterday, when the annual four-man competition lor, the Archbold Cup was held. There was a good entry for this competition, and some splendid surf work was seen in a moderate sea. Results were as follows: — No. 2 team: R. K. Wood (belt), I. Gunderson (line), M. Rattray (reel), and G. Laurie (patient) .. .. 1 No. 3 team: J. Ilatchwell (belt), G, Low (line), J. A. Young (reel), and C. Allen (patient) .. ..2 No. 1 team: H. Goldsmith (belt), G. * Laurie (line), C. Allen (reel), and J. A. Young (patient) .. ..3 Officials were Messrs N. S. Batchelor (judge), E. Volvin (timekeeper), and H. J". Baffin, F. D. Kesteven, and T. J. Archbold.
