' SYDNEY. March 15. The weather was fine for the City Tattersall's race meeting, at Randwick on Saturday.
Peter Pan, although beaten out of a place in the Randwick Stakes, was not disgraced. He was pocketed at the turn and appeared tb falter, yet he just missed a Place. The Winner. Sarcherie. made her own pace, and although hotly challenged by Gay Blonde,,, lasted long enough to win by a narrow margin. Master Brlerly got away badly. Scratchmere Scar shaped reasonably well and Contact looked extremely dangerous to the last stride. Limarch broke down at the half-mile. . . ~ . The Youthful Stakes was notable for the failure of Billy Boy, who got a bad start and almost came down at the halfmOe. He finished last. The winner, Talking, won in great style from the much-fancied Spirits. - Egtnont was Just beaten in the City Tattersali’s Cup by Salamander, who was always in the leading division. Hadrian fulfilled expectations by winning the Denman Stakes, but he did not show the same dash as at the spring meeting. Limarch fractured a near fore pastern and was removed to a veterinary hospital. An attempt will be made to save him for stud purposes providing this course Is approved by the owners, who have been communicated with by cablegram.
