CHANGE OF DIPLOMATIC APPOINTMENTS
(BRITISH OmCUL WIB-LESS.) (Received February 21, 7.50 p.m.) RUGBY, February 20. The King has approved the appointment of Sir Hughe* KnatchbullHugessen, his Majesty's Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at Teheran, to be his Majesty's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in China. *The Foreign Secretary (Mr R. A. Eden) has appointed Sir Alexander Cadogan, his Majesty's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in China, to be Deputy Under-Sec-retary of State for Foreign Affairs, in succession to Sir Victor Wellesley.
