HOUSE RANSACKED
Thieves entered and ransacked the home of Mr and Mrs J. G. L. Vernon, at the corner of Papanui road and Webb street, on either Thursday or Friday night. Mr and Mrs Vernon are in Wellington, and the theft was not discovered, until Saturday morning when their son, Mr F. Vernon, found that the house had been broken into. It is not yet known how much was taken, but the thieves had made a systematic search of the premises.
