JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS CONCLUDED
PICNIC HELD BY KAIAPOI WORKING MEN'S CLUB The Kaiapoi Working Men's Club concluded its golden jubilee celebrations with an enjoyable Picnic * th « Kaiapoi Park. Favoured with fine weathw, *9 was well attended by members and their friends. The Kaiapoi Band played selectiona throughout the afternoon and a prognSnmcT VWs events, which tmfludjfl a number of children's races, attracted loSdentries. One of the features of the afternoon's programme was the baby show, for which good entries were received. Free ice-creams, sweets, and soft drinks proved very popular with the clul* dren.
