Mrs F. J. Kiddle, of 1 Kent street, Sydenham, suffered head injuries through being knocked down by a taxi in Montreal street on Saturday evening. She was admitted to tha Christchureh Public Hospital, where she was taken in a St. John Ambulance, at 12.15 yesterday morning. A young man, Cedric Woodfield, was killed by a shot from a gun accidentally discharged in a whare at a house in Jervois street last night. Woodtield, who lived in Queen street, was at the time at the home of ArLhur John Walker, with two other young men. They were in a whare about 9 p.m. They had been discussing deerstalking, Walker having been out on April 21 last, when he took a rifle wiiieh discharged the fatal shot. Lindsay J. Watson, aged 21, died in Levvisham Hospital this morning. Watson, who was playing for the University team, appeared to receive a heavy blow, causing internal injuries, whea tackled from the side. He was bleeding internally and a kidney was torn. Watson was a popular law student at Victoria College, and was educated at Te Aute College. His parents live in Onauku, Queen Charlotte Sound. YOUNG MAN DROWNED IN CREEK [THE PRESS Special Service.] AUCKLAND, May 5. Through the swamping of a dinghy in the Mauku creek to-day, a young man from Auckland, Albert Wat kins, lost his life. Watkins, who was about 24 years of age, attempted to cross the estuary in an eight-foot dinghy with a companion. The tide was full in at the time, and the expanse of water was about a quarter of a mile wide. There was a strong gale and a heavy sea was running. The boat capsized near the middle of the creek arid the two occupants struck out for the shors. After swimming for about 15 yards Watkins lost consciousness. His companion struggled with him to the shore, where efforts at artificial respiration failed.
