FIVE ESCAPEES SENTENCED

(PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.} WELLINGTON, February 20. Five youths who recently escaped from the Weraroa training farm and travelled through the country in two parties were charged in the Children s Court to-day with numerous offences of dishonesty and unlawful conversion of several motor-cars. The police said the authorities at the training farm had been unable to control them and it was considered that the boys should be sent to a Borstal Institution. The magistrate committed them to a Borstal Institution for three years.
