AIR SERVICE POSSIBILITIES PARIS, December 21. During a debate in the Senate, M. James Hennessey, a former seacaptain, condemned the building of the Normandie, the largest liner in the world, as France's reply to the Queen Mary. He expressed the opinion that it was impossible for the Normandie ever to nay. "There are hardly any noveaux riches left," he said, "and Hollywood stars travel in more modest suites. Long before the Normandie has a chance of paying for herself there will be a trans-Atlantic air service. ' M. William Bertrand, Minister for (he Mercantile Marine, replied that French shipping companies were nearing an agreement among themselves and foreign competitors to abolish unprofitable competition.
