WELLINGTON PROJECTS
LOAN OF £159,799 PROPOSED (PRESB association tklbqham.) WELLINGTON, October 1.1. A recommendation that the council raise a loan of £159,799 for necessary works was submitted to the Wellington City Council tonight by the works committee. The projects contemplated included £81,299 for street works and £71,000 for storm water drainage and sewerage. It was decided to forward the proposals to the Local Government Loans Board, to ascertain on what terms the board would sanction the raising of the loan, the matter to be placed before the ratepayers.
