(FKOII OUR OWN CGKBESFONDKNI.) LONDON, September 5. Sir Thomas Wilford has been appointed a director of Messrs Sternol Limited. This company was registered in 1928 with a capital of £250,000 to manufacture and distribute the products of Messrs Stern, Limited, a company which originated 50 years ago. The Earl of Verulam is the chairman of the company and other directors are Mr T. S. Hooker (vice-chairman), Mr H. B. Thompson (managing director), Mr Jocelyn Brandon and Mr H. L. Wallock. One of the midshipmen on H.M.S. Sussex during the Royal tour to Australia is Peter Williams, a grandson of the late Mr and Mrs T. C. Williams, of Wellington and Auckland. Sir John Sandeman Allen, M.P., has gone to Budapest to attend the conference of the International Law Association, and he will go on to Belgrade to attend the International Parliamentary Commercial Conference, of which he is president. Lady Sandeman Allen accompanies him.
