REOPENING OF SCHOOLS
REQUESTS TO ADMINISTRATOR OF SAMOA U'11133 AdSOWAMOI TBLIOaiM.) WELLINGTON, October 8. The Samoan correspondent of the Press Association says:— The administrator (Brigadier-Gen-eral H. E. Hart) has completed his annual visit to Savaii arid Upolu. Gen-
eral Hart and his party were well received at all the villages where stops were made. The reopening of schools and the provision of better medical facilities were the two principal questions brought up for discussion by the people. The administrator intimated that the medical service on Savaii would shortly be linked up by the opening of two more dispensaries which would be in the charge of native practitioners. Additional dispensaries would also be opened to provide for the requirements of Upolu. Many requests were made for the reopening of schools which were closed down during the Mau activities, and the administrator said he would be only too pleased to grant the requests as soon as the people in the villages ; or districts showed him that they were I again united.
