SHELDON PARK BOARD
A public meeting of residents of Belfast was held on Monday evening to appoint a member to lill the vacancy on the board caused by the death of Mr E. J. Wotton. Mr A. P. A. Nicholls presided and Mr W. Price, being the only person nominated, was declared elected. At a subsequent meeting of the board the following were present: Messrs Nicholls (chairman), A. Brown, A. E. Clarke, J. Halligan, E. Harris, J. R. D. Johns, W. Price. E. T. Wilson, and the secretary, Mr W. T. Rogers. Mr Johns reported on returfing round the pavilion and monument and Messrs Clarke and Halligan reported on tree planting. The secretary reported that a lease had been completed with Messrs Alexandre and Son for the lease of four acres situated at the back of the park. Accounts amounting to £ll 5s were passed for payment.
