WEST COAST EXCURSION

RAIL AND MOTOR TO WESTPORT Satisfactory bookings are being received for the rail and motor excursion from Christchurch to Westport, organised by the Combined Fanciers' Clubs for the next week-end, and intending excursionists are advised to book early so that sufficient motor accommodation can be arranged for. The train, which leaves Christchurch at 10.45 pm. on Friday next, will consist of chair-seated carriages and will bo steam-heated. Passengers will be able to enjoy two daylight trips by motor through the lovely Buller Gorge. Westport will be reached at 8.15 a.m. on Saturday, and the departure will be made at 9 a.m. on Sunday, July■ I, arriving back at Christchurch at 6.20 p.m. the same day.
