SHIRLEY-RICHMOND BRANCH
The annual meeting of the ShirleyRichmond branch of the Plunket Society was held in the Randall Street Church Hall. In presenting the annual report ana statement of accounts, the president (Mrs S P. Godfrey) stated that the year had closed with a balance of £lO 2s Bd. The reduction in the subscriptions from • mothers had made more work for the committee in its endeavour to cover expenses. A successful jumble sale had been held,' and sifts from Mrs E. E. Good and Mr R. G. Arnould had helped to augment the funds. On Plunket Day the branch had realised £36 18s from a produce stall. Attendances at the rooms for the year had been as follows:—Adults 1323, babies 1297, pre-school children 63 The committee thanked Nurse Osborne. the Randall Street Church authorities, and Mr J. M. Preston (auditor) for assistance given during the year. Officers elected were:—President, Mrs S. P. Godfrey: vice-presidents, Mrs Parnham and Mrs W. W. Bassett; committee. Mesdames L. A. Barrett, H. R. Blair, R. W. Owen, S. Provost, A. J. Steere. W. W. Rowntree, W. J. Shearman. Misses A. D. Butcher. J. Dawe; honorary secretary and treasurer. Mrs J. M. Preston. Miss Cora Wilding gave a very interesting and instructive talk on the aims and object of the Sunlight League. Afternoon tea was served by the committee. A competition was won by Mrs T. H. Phipps.
