11'RtSS AS3OCMTIO* Tr.I.EGJIAM.) HAMILTON, April 23. Serious injuries were received by George Welch, aged 13. of Whatawhala, when he was accidentally shot in the back. The boy, his brother, and another boy were shooting rabbits from a canoe on the Waipa river, and the brother was passing a pearifle from one side of the canoe to the other when it was discharged, the bullet entering his brother's back. The injured boy was rushed to the Waikato Hospital. His condition is serious.
