FISHING-LINES WASHED ASHORE

The Post and Telegraph Department has received the following advice from the postmaster at Hokitika: "Okarito reports that a launch or rowing boat is floating bottom up about 200 yards out from the shore approximately four miles south of here. Deep sea fishing lines have come ashore which appear to be quite new. No boats are missing from this locality.''
