SPRING FLOWERS

SHOW AT CLARKVILLE The annual spring flower show, held in the Clarkville Hall, under the auspices of the Clarkville Methodist Church, proved a great success. In spite of tho advanced season, there was a fino display of blooms. Tho show waa opened by Mr G. H. Blackwell, of Kaiapoi. Tho joint eecrctaries were Misses I). Holland and H. Griffon. Tlie various stallholders were: Variety, Mrs A. J. liich and Mra G. E, Brown; produce, Mrs T. Holland, Mrs C. Pemvoll, and Mrs J. E. Holland; aweots, Mrs L. W. E. Uiiea and Mrs Mcllwrick; bran tub. Miss Holland and Atisa Hide; refreshments, Mrs Ck H. Hassall, Mrs A. Patorsou, and Mrs W. Robson. Special awards were as follows: Best bloom in show, Mia Boliington; best bloom in district class, Mr 3 Boliington; Kaiapol Wgoilon Manufacturing Company's prize, Miss B. Clothier (Kaiapoi); Mr R. \V.
